Lead Adult Care Worker

This apprenticeship is for those who deliver or supervise care in homes, day centres, residential facilities, and other healthcare settings.
Designed to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours essential for your role, you’ll learn to deliver person-centred care aligned with your organisation’s culture. Create and develop personalised care plans. Champion health and well-being. Master effective communication and safeguarding. Uphold duty of care and provide leadership, guidance, and direction to your team.
Ideal for those already in health and social care, this apprenticeship supports career progression. Typical roles include:

Leader in Adult Care

This apprenticeship is for care leaders who want to refine their leadership skills and foster a values-based culture within their team or organisation.
As a care leader, you will gain the tools to:
Guide and inspire teams to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Manage business development, financial control, risk, and organisational change.
Understand systems that ensure quality care through assessments, care plans, and service delivery.
Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
You will also enhance your ability to lead teams in providing person-centred care, focusing on communication, dignity, human rights, safeguarding, and professional development.
This programme is ideal for those already in leadership roles within health and social care.

Safeguarding Support Officer

Safeguarding Support Officers work alongside designated safeguarding leads to support and enable their employing organisation to safeguard the vulnerable populations they work with.
A safeguarding support officer will be the first point of contact when there is a safeguarding concern, conducting initial risk assessments, triaging, and signposting to the most appropriate person within their organisation or external agency if appropriate. The safeguarding support officer will maintain accurate and up to date documentation of any decisions and advice given, ensuring information is accurately recorded and that documentation is safely stored and shared appropriately, proportionately and securely according to national and organisational policy.

Business Administrators support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers.
Business Administrators focus on adding value, their role contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.

Quality Practitioner

Quality Practitioners deploy effective Quality Practices in their responsible area to ensure organisations fulfil the contractual and regulatory requirements of their customers and other stakeholders.
 
Quality Practices includes four main elements:
1. Quality Planning (planning a delivery system for reliable outputs, such as implementing Quality Management Plans)
2. Quality Assurance (providing confidence to stakeholders that Quality standards are maintained, such as conducting audits)
3. Quality Control (verifying a product or service is meeting agreed specifications, such as carrying out inspections)
4. Continuous Improvement (preventing recurrence of poor quality through analysis and addressing the root cause of poor quality, such as conducting investigations)
